Activity 3: Creating a Timeline

Have students create a timeline of the pivotal events and illustrate it with:

  • A one- or two-sentence description of the event
  • A quotation from a related primary source
  • An original illustration
  • An image found online or in a print source
  • Dates of related national events
  • Dates of related world events

Revisit the questions listed in Activity #1. Explain why certain events were pivotal while others were not.
