in 1675 with King Phillip's war raging and the Nipmucs on the prowl. Didn't some historian put forth the thesis that all the anxiety and dread triggered by the war, yielded bad fruit in the Salem Witch Trials in later years?

Mary Beth Norton's work re: the "PTSD" projections of the victims of the Indian Wars. Nowadays, we rely on Mass Media Propaganda, and such"Spectral Evidence", as The Gulf of Tonkin Incident and Weapons of Mass Destruction to further the "paranoid" machinations and manipulations of our current Oligarchy/"Elites".
